Throughout our shared time at The Invisible Wind Factory, Mia was an omnipresent force majeure as studio manager. She brought a real social cohesion and community ethos to the space. Our admin and events felt incredibly well organised. Any issues were always addressed with a very personable and direct approach. She brought a really healthy sense of accountability to the studio community, leading by example and often going above and beyond in her DIY spirit to make improvements, whether that was initiating valuable meetings or simply freshening up the decor.

Mia brings colour, personality and attention to detail in everything she does. I couldn’t recommend her more for your project in question.

During her time managing the Studios, Mia’s communication was always clear, timely, and thoughtful — she had a real gift for keeping everyone in the loop and making tenants feel heard and valued. What set Mia apart was her deep understanding of the creative community; she instinctively knew how artists and makers think, and she used that insight to foster a studio environment where people felt genuinely motivated and supported.

Her positivity was infectious, and her ability to manage a diverse group of tenants with patience and enthusiasm made Northern Lights a great place to be.

I have known Mia for several years and had the honour of working with her at Baltic Creative CIC. In all honesty, Mia was a mentor to me during this time and I am so glad I had the opportunity to work alongside her. Mia has vast knowledge of business leadership and development and also a wealth of practical experience from her time at Homebaked. Delifonseca and Pao! (to name but a few). She is an incredibly supportive individual who always has the time to help and listen, and she is a true team player.

She has a knack with people and is able to deal with the most complex of situations in a calm and productive manner. She has a real flair for creativity and working with her is fun - it’s like she brings out the best in you.

I worked with Mia for 2 years at Baltic Creative CIC via our Northern Lights scheme in the Cains Brewery Village. Mia managed the scheme for 2 years, working with over 40 companies who employed over 150 people. An arts-led space, Mia worked tirelessly to establish Northern Lights. Her hard work establishing the brand, the company and the space ensured that we had a vibrant arts-led community serving artists, makers, musicians - a whole range of C&D businesses and arts collectives. She managed the space and the community with incredible determination, effort and good humour to ensure everyone felt at home.

We’re so proud of the work she did at Northern Lights - which was a fantastic legacy of her 2 years’ work.

Project collaborator, Gigs & Graphics

I have worked with Mia on multiple projects, most notably on a screen-printed poster exhibition we held called Gigs & Graphics in the Baltic area of Liverpool.

Mia project-managed and helped us get the exhibition off the ground, collaborating with lots of organisations to make the event a reality.

Mia worked closely with us during the exhibition as well, chatting to customers, screen printing with the general public and promoting the event.

Mia is such a joy to work with; her enthusiasm and commitment is so bright and bold, she is professional and knows how to get a job done!
